Après les errements de Dynasty et The elder, Kiss revient en forme en 1982 avec ce Creatures of the night, superble album aux frontières du heavy metal, et assez loin du hard rock popisant des années 70.
Sans doute leur album studio le plus abouti avec Destroyer.
